چکیده
We used an automated recording system and computer analysis to perform hourly QRS subtractions on ECG signals obtained with dipolar leads in 14 patients admitted within 6 hours of the onset of symptoms of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The resulting changes in QRS time-voltage area were expressed as a difference vector (QRSMD) which was found to have a simple time course that was similar for infarcts in different locations and closely fit the equation:

متن کاملSerial determinations of serum enzymes following aorta-coronary bypass surgery and acute myocardial infarction.
Serial determinations of serum creatine kinase (CK), cardio-specific isoenzyme of CK (CK-MB), glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) and alpha-hydroxybutylate dehydrogenase (HBD) were made in 29 consecutive patients undergoing aorta-coronary (AC) bypass grafting, and the results were compared with those in 31 patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Postoperatively, all patients had an...
متن کاملDIAGNOSTIC METHODS MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION Quantitative assessment of myocardial ischemia and necrosis by continuous vectorcardiography and measurement of creatine kinase release in patients
The accuracy of the use of the maximal QRS vector difference to estimate myocardial infarct size irrespective of infarct location was compared with that of measurement of cumulative creatine kinase (CK) release. Sixty patients with acute myocardial infarction and a history of symptoms of less than 4 hr duration were followed for 24 to 72 hr with orthogonal vectorcardiography and CK release anal...
متن کاملComparison of pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A, troponin and creatine kinase-MB levels in acute coronary syndrome
Background: Early diagnosis and proper treatment of patient with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and ischemic heart disease are important in determining prognosis, preventing adverse effects, and may even save lives. In this study, the level of pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A) in ACS patients was compared with the control group, in addition to cardiac Troponin (cTn) and creatine kin...
